Reid is an accomplished civil litigator, representing clients in high-stakes complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He regularly counsels leading organizations in the technology, financial services, fashion and entertainment, and manufacturing industries in actions that include contract disputes, business torts, corporate governance disputes, product liability, and securities claims.

Reid also provides advice to companies, executives, and professionals in disputes related to discrimination, harassment, employment and separation agreements, compensation, and breaches of non-compete agreements.

Before joining Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes, Reid was a partner at Harris St. Laurent & Wechsler, a counsel at Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman, and an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Reid has represented:

  • John Malkovich, as U.S. counsel, in a defamation action against the French newspaper, Le Monde, and two of its journalists. The defendants were ordered by a French court to pay Mr. Malkovich damages, and to publish on Le Monde’s front page and its website a summary of the ruling.
  • FieldTurf, the leading manufacturer of artificial turf fields, as co-lead counsel in an MDL and proposed class action related to the allegedly defective manufacture of thousands of fields.
  • Credit Europe Bank in litigation against Dr. Bavagauthu Raghuram Shetty, the founder of NMC Health and payments group Finablr.
  • Honeywell in an employment dispute relating to the enforceability of restrictive covenants.
  • Patreon, the preeminent platform for membership content services, in an online defamation and fraud case.
  • Assurances du Crédit Mutuel, one of France’s largest insurers, in connection with Madoff-related investments. Obtained approval of petitions to the Madoff Victim Fund covering eligible losses of over $25 million.
  • A pharmaceutical drug manufacturer in a dispute with its development partner related to obtaining FDA approval and award of a priority review voucher.
  • A recovery vehicle formed by the limited partners of a cryptocurrency trading fund in litigation over the fund’s failure. 
  • One of the architects of the purchase of Aman Resorts as plaintiff in a dispute involving $50 million in alleged damages.
  • A partner at an Am Law 100 firm in a sexual harassment case.
  • Invesco Senior Secured Management, Inc., a global asset manager, against an Ad Hoc Group, an appliance-parts maker, and its private equity sponsor in a six-day trial in the Southern District of Texas Bankruptcy Court in a liability management dispute involving breaches of the relevant credit agreements and rightful control of the appliance-parts maker.
  • Shareholders, in a claim under Section 14(a) of the Exchange Act, alleging misstatements in proxy materials.
