Founding partner Olga Lucia Fuentes-Skinner has been selected as one of 10 honorees, and the only outside legal counsel, for the New York Business Journal’s 2023 Women of Influence award. The annual award honors professional women throughout New York who are active in their communities and showcase a significant degree of influence not only in their respective professional careers, but also outside of their offices.
The power of the law as a means to achieve equality is woven throughout Olga’s 22-year career as a leader in the courtroom and a groundbreaker for the Latino legal community. It has animated all of her work, even as she earned a reputation as one of New York’s leading commercial and white-collar litigators at two of the nation’s most prestigious firms. As a founding partner, member of the executive committee, and chair of the firm’s pro bono and diversity committees, Olga balances firm leadership with demanding case work.
A sought-after trial attorney, Olga has litigated a variety of high-stakes commercial cases. She has represented, for instance, lenders in a $725 million dollar fraud and accounting malpractice matter; a corporate officer in a civil RICO matter; an international food and lifestyle company in an internal investigation, a Fortune 500 company in an accounting malpractice matter; and various companies and individuals in connection with DOJ and SEC investigations.
