Eddie’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and labor and employment law. Representing a diverse range of clients, Eddie has litigated complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts concerning breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and state and federal RICO claims. Eddie also represents and provides counseling and advisory services to employers and individuals in both New York and California on a broad range of labor and employment-related matters in a wide variety of industries.  Eddie has substantial experience conducting investigations and defending claims of employment misclassification, wage theft, hostile work environment, discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sex, age, and disability, and related labor law violations; and providing counsel and advice concerning compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws.

Before joining Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes, Eddie was an associate of Kasowitz Benson Torres and secondment counsel at KfW Bankengruppe in Frankfurt, Germany.

Eddie has represented:

  • Douglas Elliman Real Estate in a class action suit involving claims of employment misclassification, failure to pay wages, and related labor law claims.
  • The former sole director in a blockchain start-up, focused on developing the first SEC-approved “tokenized” money market fund, which was acquired by a defendant corporation and then allegedly “killed” for the use of its valuable blockchain technology.
  • Private equity firm Lovell Minnick in a lawsuit presenting significant questions about the liability of private equity firms for acquisitions by their portfolio companies.
  • A financial services company in defending claims of unfair competition and trademark infringement arising out of purported brand confusion.
  • A former executive of a national paper manufacturer in negotiating a post-termination separation agreement.
  • Numerous companies in state and federal proceedings alleging discrimination against consumers on the basis of disability under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Numerous companies in internal investigations concerning allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination brought against supervisors and C-level executives.
  • A major fashion brand in numerous arbitrations arising out of termination of former executives.
  • Crazy Maple Studio, an app developer and publisher, in resolving an EEOC proceeding alleging racial discrimination and retaliatory termination by a former writer.
  • A major law firm in a series of California state proceedings concerning racial, sexual orientation, age, and disability discrimination claims.
  • Former employees of a technology consultancy in the alleged theft of trade secrets and tortious interference of the organization’s business relations.
